Teak Museum
The museum, a two storey building, is the world's first teak museum and is operated by the Kerala Forest Research Institute. The only urban museum in the world dedicated to teak trees is at Nilambur. Conolly's Plot
Conolly's Plot is the well known plantation of Nilambur which is named in honor of the then Collector of Malabar H.V. Conolly, during the British rule. He instrumented in planting teak in the entire Nilambur area with the help of a forest officer under him. The entire plot extends across 2.31 hectares beside the Chaliyar River at Aruvakode.
Kannimara Teak
Kannimara is the biggest living teak tree not only in India but also in the world. It is located in Parambikulam Wild Life Sanctuary in the district of Palghat, Kerala. The tree is 47.5 m tall with a girth of 642 cm. Kannimara is situated at a distance of 80kms from Nilambur forest ranges.
Nedumkayam
Nedumkayam noted specially for its rich rain forests is situated at a distance of 18 km from Nilambur town. A magnificent wooden rest house built by the British at Nedumkayam offers a panoramic view of the elephants and deers grazing in the forest nearby. Prior permission is required from the Forest department to enter.
Adyanpara Waterfalls
Adyanpara is famous for its waterfalls and the splendor of the wooded jungle surrounding it. This magnificent spot is located in Kurmbalangod village of Nilambur Taluk. Land of Potters - A small quaint village known as Aruvacode with a taste for the art of pottery is located near Nilambur. Kumbahn, a traditional artisan community was formed here to further enhance the scope in the field of pottery art. This form of art is quite famous in Kerala.
